What a weak response by Carlo to ask about why he didn’t pick Konkers. ‘We have 11 players’ whatever that means.

but he did indicate he get a chance soon so let’s hope tomorrow

If we don’t win this, I reckon we’ll go on to finish 15th. City, United and Villa have game in hand on us. And four more teams, including Arsenal, only need a win to go ahead of us. If we can’t beat Burnley, then we’re going on a run of several games which won’t see a win for us. By which point it’ll be a struggle to rise back up the table.

Must win in my books.

The way I've read it, it looks like he will play tomorrow. Be a lot better than having Iwobi there, who would be better on the right if we're to play wing backs again tomorrow

I think the bolded part of Carlo's answer is more of an indication of his thoughts re Nkounkou

"Nkounkou was not in the squad because I had 11 players, I put Iwobi on the left. He's still young, he needs more experience, he needs to work more."

Not a fan of this 3-4-3 business. CA said he plays it because our fullbacks are out but we have Nkounkou, just play him. We've also got a number who can cover at RB so I'm not sure why we can't play 4-3-3. Anyway, we get exposed against attacking teams. Burnley aren't that in truth and hopefully that doesn't change tomorrow. 3pts is a must but a good performance is almost as important to lift confidence again. Fixtures after tomorrow are tough but weirdly I fancy us in games we're expected to lose.

We lose and it’ll be the most insane 180 ever. It smacks of a very weak mentality. It’s ok riding high And having the confidence from a unlikely away win against spurs but as soon as doubt appears in the form of a loss after the derby. Maybe the derby itself sucked the confidence out of them as we got lucky and where ran ragged at times. Put if we are that weak that one game flips a switch and all of a sudden we are crap and play with no believe.

can’t beat Burnley and do it in style it’s a long season for sure.

4-3-3 is the most effective. We simply must win this.

Olsen

Holgate Mina Keane Nkounkou

Doucouré Allan Gomes

James Calvert-Lewin Richarlison

Subs: Pickford, Delph, Sigurðsson, Tosun, Iwobi, Godfrey, Davies.

Unavailable: Digne, Coleman, Gbamin (all injured).

Don't know what to expect here. Just want to see Nkounkou(preferably) or delph on the left side.

I'm gonna keep expectations low and hope for a scrappy little win.
