We are 7th in the league, but as several teams below us have games in hand (3 teams have 2 games in hand) our realistic position is 11th or 12th. Could have gone 4th with a win though! After our tough next half-dozen games, I expect us to be even further down the table. If we are close to the bottom three then a panicking Moshiri will dump Ancelotti and bring Fat Sam in to get us out of trouble! lol

we have actually played the most games the whole league and truly messed it up big time after our good start, and doing it in bad style over the last few weeks

I am beginning to think we need a hard working winger with James coming off the bench in the last 30 personally. He is great but I think the pace of the games takes him out of it sometimes as by the time they are tired, he is drained and it makes him less effective in the areas he can be
but he is absolute quality and the one player who can create a goal opportunity with one touch...at any time in the game

Didn't deserve the win, but absolutely gutted Sigurdsson didn't score would have been such a lift going into these next few games.

I am concerned about how much sheer endeavour from the opposition looks like it can undo us.

Though trying to look at the positives:
  • Godfrey played really well considering he was shoved in at LB
  • Gomes looking more like himself
  • Keane very solid at the back
  • Iwobi looking decent again should stick with him at RB until Coleman is fit
  • Looked more settled in a 4-3-3, hopefully we'll jib off 3 at the back now
For me, Gomes looks less and less of a Prem player. Opposition just waltz past him and we can’t have that from a player that doesn’t score or assist.

Abysmal passing almost throughout. Sideways and backwards, with an almost absent midfield in the first half. Chelsea might annihilate us next week unless we get the possession and passing improved. I would have pulled Allan off in the first half he was that bad. Well played Godfrey, Pickford and of course DCL.

I think we can safely say a finish of between 12th and 15th is on the cards. Miles off the likes of Liverpool, City, Spurs, Chelsea and Leicester. Comfortably worse than Wolves, United and Southampton, and over the course of a season can see Leeds, Arsenal and West Ham fight for more points than us.

There's not a team in the Premier that can't beat us, only takes a little bit of effort from them and we just fall over
