For the most part I want to see players playing in their natural positions. Playing Gomes left wing or Davies right wing back is just weird.

Absolutely, just had a look at the team, same again. Delph left wing back and Iwobi right wing back. Might get away with it today but can’t help feeling we’re making it hard for ourselves.

The halfway point isn't until mid January this year though, so its slightly different. We need to become more consistent. We've basically been boom and bust this year and its not ideal. A result today and we can hopefully move forward with some confidence.

hard to be passionate about a team that targets mediocrity and irrelevance. I only take passing interest these days...tired of being disappointed for 37 years out of the 40 I've supported Everton. There's a strong whiff of 'losers' about Everton.

Its slightly better that we have a naturally left sided player on the left, but its still Fabian Delph.

The reality is we have no option i particularly like at left back and the squad is very short of fullbacks. You have to ask why after 3 years with Marcel Brands.
