I'm all signed up, Good luck Bury supporters, a team in this position and history should be cut a bit of slack, one greedy B'd should not be allowed to put this club to the wall.

What I'm wondering is, if the bid was legit and came in before the deadline, whilst also satisfying the criteria, then does this open up the EFL to any legal ramifications for ignoring it?

Obviously I get the whole "We thought it was withdrawn" argument. But if Bury can conclusively prove that it wasn't withdrawn AND came in before the deadline, surely at that stage the EFL must amend it's original decision right?

Probably not. Besides, it hardly sounds the most appealing of bids does it? If you want another slap-dash, fly by night owner to come in with no due diligence and kick the can down the road for a few months then great, but I'm not sure that helps Bury, much less the other teams who's games keep getting suspended (losing them revenue as well.)

As sad as it is to see Bury and also Bolton struggling its not up to Everton,City,United, ect to bail them out, having incompetant owners got them into the mess and there have been offers to buy the club but the owner wants more money, the EFL are also to blame for letting this go on and with their fit and proper test,I get the feeling that this will become a house of cards once Bury go and thats why its being allowed to drag on,but if the big clubs bail them out then where do you stop? How small does the club have to be? If its Leeds or Coventry should they also get help?
Coventry maybe, but Leeds can do one.
But seriously, its a worry that old clubs go under, but where do you draw the line. Its a business who provide a product, dodgy owners allegedly siphoning cash or no, not enough people want the product

More due to come out in the next few days apparently as to why Bury are in this state, seems there is a lot more going on than first thought.

There is also a story going about that Steve Dale paid himself £100k+ from the club whilst the players were getting no wages. He just sounds so dodgy the more i read about him tbh

This man is hated in Bury.
It seems he bought the club as a novelty and tried to cash in.

Even today he is hanging out trying to make a couple of million cashing in on the history.

Htf he was ever allowed to buy the club is beyond belief.
The EFL are culpable as it was their fit and proper persons test that allowed him to carry out this farce.

I have loads of Bury mates, work with loads of Bury fans and they do not deserve this.
