Busting our balls [Vadis odjidja ofoe]

Read a Begium football blog about Vadis:

At the Anderlecht academy 10 years ago, it was generally acknowledged that there were three bright talents: Vincent Kompany, Anthony Vanden Borre and Vadis Odjidja Ofoe. Kompany is now a player on the world stage, while Vanden Borre is sadly trying to get his head together. Vadis Odjidja went off the radar to an extent as he is little known outside of Belgium. He is a top talent though and one that could succeed at the highest level.
At Anderlecht, he was a few years behind Kompany but he was rarely selected. Feeling rejected, he left the club and followed the now Manchester City captain to Hamburg. Vadis Odjidja was still a teenager and that didn’t work. Returning to Belgium, he joined Club Brugge and he’s played over 100 games there. He’s not made quite the impact he should have done and he’s clashed once or twice with coaches. Last week, Georges Leekens said he didn’t want to work with players who wanted to leave.
When I heard he might go to Fulham, I thought he’d be perfect replacement for Moussa Dembele. He started out as a defensive midfielder but he’s technically adept and he’s never really been given the responsibility he deserves. I thought he would be Club Brugge’s main man under Leekens this year but it hasn’t worked out. Everton should be happy he’s gone to Goodison Park; in terms of pure talent, he’s ahead of Marouane Fellaini and Kevin Mirallas; but the game was never about pure talent.

So this lad seems to score a fair few long-range goals. Nice back-up for Gibbo then... Have no idea about his general style of play. Seemed to have decent dribbling in one of the goals.

Would be very happy if he signed. CMON BILL!!!

He won't be a back-up. He and Gibson will be our 1st choice CM pair and Fellaini will keep on playing SS.

It seems Moyes was trying to buy him on Friday and the loan was only a fix because we ran out of time.

If that's the case, he will becoming to be a 1st team player as Moyes wouldn't spend that amount on someone he has no intention of at least giving a chance to.

I also would imagine we will have paid a large loan fee to convince them to loan him to us making it a virtual certainty that we will see the deal though at the end anyway.

I'm very exited after hearing what Kompany has said...."Everton fans might not even know it but their club has done an incredible bit of business. Vadis Odjija is a top player, mark my words."

Imagine he was another Fellaini....

In all fairness Kompany aint gonna say "my compatriot is a poor player and everton have made a dreadful signing mark my words" If he was so good the city captain might have encouraged his own team to go for him???
