Tough Midfield to break into.

WHO THE FCK IS TIMMY SIMMONS?????

He didnt make our squad as announced either but there was a footnote saying he would be added once clearance was recieved. Not sure what's in it for FIFA to say no other than wanting to be all 'Daddy' about it. Especially as transfer windows around Europe havent closed yet.
Surely its time for a rule change on transfers where all transfers between countries get done by XX date. intra counrtry deals can continue but it makes no sense having all these differentdates in such a connected world.

There are a lot of talented players in the Belgian squad. If the deal for Ofoe is approved by FIFA and he makes the impact that we all hope he makes it will greatly improve his international prospects.

Well what do you want the club to say?
do you want them to come out everyday with "the deals still being considred by FIFA"?
all i can say is if it happens it happens.

Absolutely baffling to as why it isnt done yet. Amateur by FIFA this. Belgian FA and English FA have both APPROVED the loan, surely it should take 5mins of FIFA's time to go 'Okay, its all sound'. Amateur.

Just can't see it happening now to be honest.

Everton said almost a week ago...

The transfer now needs to be rubber stamped by football's governing body FIFA – a process which will take place early next week.

I can only imagine FIFA have objected to the deal, therefore requiring an appeal?

Just wish Everton would keep us updated, after all the process happened earlier this week didn't it?

It has to be approved by FIFA even if both FA's have approved it. Even if the papers are lodged with both FA's in time if they arent with FIFA in time they can refuse to grant International clearance. Check out the FIFA site and their rules and regulations. They have a Transfer Matching System and transfers are lodged electronically and it has a countdown clock on Transfer deadline day so if its not there in time presumably Everton/Brugge are having to explain why. As I have indicated in a previous post Swansea last year got denied under similar circumstances and they had to wait 14 days to be told. I really hope it goes through but I think to say it just needs to be rubber stamped it is not as straightforward as it sounds
