Im not particularly bothered mate, worse case scenario Barkley gets bumped up a few squad places. It was a punt to be fair anyway. We have the squad to cope.

It's a fair point, but in the club's defence when you're talking about players his age there's a vast difference between 'good enough now' and 'good enough ever'.
Would prefer seeing him to any of our other options though.

junior's been injured most of this season already so i doubt he's fully fit himself. will be worried if hargreaves is an alternative, the irony of replacing an injury prone player with one who is 10 times as bad is too much.

FFS Neilsy our team IS weaker as we sold Rodwell and Gibson is injured. That's 2 CMs out for the moment and none in.
Irronically our right back plays in midfield.
Im a great believer in good players can play anywhere but im more thinking outside the box we have loads of options in midfield.
I go back to my original point what changed nothing really. Most wouldnt have been arsed after the window we had, if the Belg lad never came across the bow.
Any weaker than what? Than it was yesterday? Of course it isn't.
Than it was a weak ago? Yes, yes it is because we've lost a player to injury.
Weaker than it was before the summer? Probably not, we had cover for Gibson then but none for Pienaar, Baines or Jelavic and no starter at RW.
Weaker than we want it to be? Clearly, otherwise we wouldn't have being chasing around looking for a DM.
I thought that we needed cover for gibson, now we don't have it and he's injured we're in trouble, imo. This upsets me, thats all.
