Busting our balls [Vadis odjidja ofoe]

So if everything was fine why are FIFA blocking it?

It is because the deal was not done on time, it is clear as day that it wasn't done on time, all that nonsense about it being completed 'immediately' before 11pm is total blag!

Total, total blag!!!

I think this is an accurate summary of the board's latest cock up. No understanding why various people believe them.

How do the football authorities get around employment law in these cases? The guy wants to play for us, we want him, his current employers are happy for him to come.

We need to keep a good relationship with Brugges and we need to be ensuring that this guy is an Everton player on 1st Jan.

Tbh I never bought into this idea that FIFA just had to 'rubber stamp' the transfer, it was obvious from the start that we had a major problem despite the club playing it down. Hopefully the lad won't have his head turned before January.

I genuinely thought we signed him and FIFA were just sorting through other things and leaving our papers for last, for us to do everything right on our part as well as having the transfer approved by our FA, surely is worth an appeal.

Like most people I'm disappointed by this - but keep reminding myself that as Sky were reporting on deadline day that he was signing for Fulham, I wasn't sitting there thinking I really wish we were signing this guy. I am more disappointed that we obviously knew we needed to strengthen that position and missed out or lost other targets - after all this guy can't have been anywhere near the top of the list of options seeing how late we left it to make our move.

So Vadis is saying it's our fault.
Everton is saying it is Bruges fault.
Bruges is saying it is the FA's fault.
FA are saying it is FIFA's fault.
FIFA is saying, screw you we don't care and have never done about Everton.

What a shame and what is worrying me is other clubs will be alert to this player now, as we all know Moyes can spot a gem for coppers. Managers will be looking at him now.

Fulham were buying him until we turned up last minute so I'm not so sure we've spotted the player whilst nobody else has heard of him
