Not the end of the world. Holgate, Oviedo can cover there if desperately needed.

Much rather see us get a quality attacking midfielder/striker in.

As stated earlier, this has got to be Tim Howard's fault.

Despite a lot of things being his fault, this is probably not one of them.

Lots of people flapping about this.

London24Sport understands West Ham are set to sign Sam Byram from Leeds United on Tuesday for around £3.5million plus add-ons.

"The impressive right sided winger was in talks with Everton over the weekend but trained with Leeds on Monday and spoke to West Ham co-owner David Sullivan on Sunday.

Byram has family in Essex and south east London and favoured the switch back down south over a move to Merseyside. Having come through the ranks at Leeds,

Byram has become a vital player in their side, featuring at either right back or in midfield. However, the 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has turned down an offer from Leeds to extend, leaving a switch to the Premier League a certainty.

West Ham have been struggling for a right back, with James Tomkins filling in this season due to Carl Jenkinson’s poor form. Jenkinson is no longer a permanent option due to his wage increase at Arsenal and so Byram is seen as the long term option, with his midfield form also worth noting. Byram should be announced and ready to play before West Ham face Manchester City on Saturday evening".

Edit Byram was born in Thurrock, Essex.

Not arsed. Haven't been since it was mooted. We need that cash spent elsewhere and we're ok at RB even without Coleman in.

God only knows lol I love and hate these transfer window with a passion either way.
Not sure I've ever seen him play yet will be a bit disappointed if we don't sign him as it is a position have wanted cover for for a while and he sounded good.

Not in the same league as if Deulofeu had gone to another UK team though - I might just have given up watching football all together lol

Still wouldn't call this one over yet. I've just put a small bet on him coming here as the odds are good now.

Hope he comes as he would be a good squad addition. Be disappointed to see west ham of all clubs gazump us
