Side dish for curries - grate a couple of carrots and chop up some Chinese cabbage. Fry a handful of lentils and/or split peas with a chopped up chili. Before they burn, add some mustard seeds and wait until they pop. Add carrot and cabbage and stir-fry until they wilt (not too much). Dead easy and people love it.
