…I genuinely don’t like cakes, never even as a kid. Yuk.

I don't like the cream and jam and stuff they often come with. As for stale and in a trifle, no.

My wife is getting pretty slick, though, at baking some ace gluten free plain-ish cakes.

Chocolate and coffee and walnut are improving every time ...
