For genetic predisposition I have a routine colonoscopy next week. Fir those not of a medical bent, this involves a camera up the arse (hopefully without the sound crew). I've been given a list of foods I may not eat, 5 days before the procedure.

Generally I like to eat healthily, but most of my favourite foods have been outlawed for 5 days. Nothing with nuts, seeds, fibre etc. In sympathy, Mrs Chrismpw has bought me a rare treat - a cake. I appreciate this gesture snd it will certainly help me get through the 5 days.

Until she casually realised snd said "oh there's jam in it, it will have seeds in - you shouldn't eat it "

Now the cake is a torment.
