I prefer the useage of the word “ace” as opposed to lad. Used often by scouse Dar’s along with “queen” for girls.

Call everyone “lad” or “girl” every day, it helps as I’m crap at remembering names. My daughter recently told me I only call her by her actual name at special occasions!

I know about a 1000 people at the away games and I reckon 900 of them are by ‘alright mat/lad’ terms. . I’m terrible with names

Ha ha. Don’t go the aways anymore but Jesus, I knew hundreds of faces in the in the late 80’s and 90’s by the nene lad / mate just the same! More of a facial recognition man, like yourself.

Funny thing is if I ever bump into them now and then, we go straight into a footy conversation regardless of not speaking for years and absolutely no knowledge of our names. So, Lads is ok- Tell Chico …
