I want us to win it, but we won't. We won't win it because we don't have that winning mentality drummed in from an early age. It's all about the taking part when I was growing up and it still is.

Competitive edge is not introduced until high school, and for me that is far too late.

My brother-in-law told me about this new type of football being played with young kids where they have an under deflated football and it's all about skill, passing in small spaces etc... apparently all the Brazilians play it and it's more focused on honing skills rather than the traditional approach, which let's face it - is archaic.

No need to call the Brazilians bad tramps as they cant afford a decent footie in the ghetto you monster.

Aye slightly over the top me thinks, but then you will always get a few angry whoppers everywhere having to do something before the neighbourhood watch meeting starts or transport plans need to be disected! Anyway the F.A.I. have conceaded there will be no replay, not that there was hope like. That said im still on my one man baguette boycott which has to be said is making a stand because i do love baguettes.

In other news the seeding for the European Championships is released with Ireland in the third tier in the draw - because we failed to qualify for the World Cup galling!

It's gonna take continued incidents like this to get FIFA off their asses and get either

1) Video technology or

2) Additional officials behind/near the goal area.

This is so simple to implement and yet they choose not to. I wonder why?

It wont happen mate untill it happens for the bigger nations (markets).

Id like Fifa to do away with seeding altogether - its the fairest way surely if the biggest nations are the best it wont be a problem.
