Can we finish in the top 4?

I do smell the air and think 1984, we beat city united and Chelsea last season, and we're twenty percent better now. If wre in the top two by Christmas, I think we'll start to pull away form the Manx dross in the New Year. Let's face
It, if City can win it (and we all kn

Yep, those relegation strugglers.

Those relegation strugglers will take between 4 and 6 points off us this season. They always do under Moyes' reign. Worst Derby record of all time of any Everton manager by a country mile...and against some outrageously bad Liverpool teams when we were on paper head and shoulders better than them.

And the Derbies cant be downplayed, I'm afraid. It's pretty simple to understand their enormity: if you're not going to win a trophy or qualify for the CL, then beating that shower of [Poor language removed] is essential in any season.

Not saying we are going to win the league just yet, but some of these results are working out quite nicely for us.

It'll be different this season mate. You wait and see !! My head tells me that you're right though

I think we can beat the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle this season, may be difficult to beat Liverpool, I reckon 5th or 6th for us, outside chance of top 4. We have a great squad, a fantastic 1st team, and one of the most balanced teams i have seen at Everton for quite a while!

Tottenham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal are the teams that will be closest to us in the league, i'd say Villa but, they are in a transitional period. Just this minute none of those sides have a balanced and familiar side like we do, I could see us getting 4th, but if things go right for the other teams and we get injuries we could just as easy finish 8/9th. We'll see but the way this side has been playing since 31st January onwards has been bettered(and only slightly) by Man City, this is our best side since the 80's, and we also have Mirallas to come in who looks like he may be a bit special, if you can't be excited and optimistic now then there's truly no hope for you.

City without Aguero for a month.
United missing Rooney for the same amount of time.
Arsenal can't score.
Spurs struggling.
RS leaky defensively.

If we can get as many wins as possible before October we could give ourselves a good head start.
