The players out of contract in the summer are Kenny, Delph, Tosun and Siggurdsson. three of those will probably play no more than a handful of games, if that, for the rest of the season.
What has happened has happened. The manager that got us into this position has gone. Ferguson tried something different yesterday, which was needed but it didn't work out. (It was actually predicatble that he would go 442 and villa set up well against it)
The second half, we looked like a team that was desperate to get a result, wasn't pretty, but you could see all players were commited to getting something out of the game. That is something we have haven't seen for quite a while.
So, while all is not rosy, there are signs that with a bit more luck, a bit more composure and a bit more confidence, results may go our way soon.
I can understand why people have been bedwetting, but it's time to put new sheets on the bed and look forward some dry nights

So then we play 4-2-2-2 (4-2-4) or 4-2-3-1. If 442 is just gonna give us route 1 hoof ball we need a manager to switch it up. I just don't know if we have the players.
The only other formation is a 3-5-2. But I dunno if that'll work.
I think the club has an identity issue. What kind of squad are we, other than [Poor language removed].

Lol at the fans who don't the situation we're in. We're in utter freefall - by FAR the worst team in the league at the moment (and for some time), and those teams who were dead and buried have all got a second wind and are picking up points while we continue to lose all of our 'favourable' fixtures. God help us when we come up against some genuinely good sides. We could be a number of points adrift in a matter of weeks. This is a dire, dangerous situation we're in.
I'm not suggesting 442 is the way forward, just commenting that Ferguson used it, which is a change to what we have seen this season. It certainly created a few opportunities for us yesterday, but don't think it is a very effective formation nowadays, especially with the players we have

At the moment? Yes. Confidence is very low. But performances will improve now the team is back to full strength.
DCL isn’t back fully fit yet, the mid season break will really help that. And our star Brazilian has literally played since 2020 without a break.
Things will improve.
Yeah should be able to pick up one more win and a couple of draws on current form… phew …. I don’t know what we are all worrying about we should be fine right ?
