Today was nowhere near as bad as previous games games this season. We did not look like a team that will go down, and we have some very favourable matches coming up.

Tbh mate it’s ok not looking like a team that will go down, but if we don’t pick up points we are sinking like a rock.

I don’t care if we have 1% possession and 1 shot on target, so long as we win. That’s the main thing right now pick up points at all costs.

Are we harnessing that squad in a way that it can get results? Nope.
Are we one of the 3 worst organised squads in the league? Very possibly. With Howe tightening up Newcastle and Dean Smith going to Norwich, you could currently say only Watford are a bigger shambles and they put 5 past us at Goodison. We need someone in who can organise a team before the next league game. If we lose to Newcastle, the situation is very difficult.

This. The squad is 12-8th standard for me and massively underperforming. I think we need a new ten on loan this window - lingard/van der beek / Ramsey. Add that to the team below and no way that should be getting relegated with a competent manager.

No, the bed should be absolutely sodden (and probably a little soiled too). We are over halfway through a season with only 5 wins to our name, no Manager, no DoF and a squad full of players who are simply nowhere near the level of match and peak physical fitness they should be due to injuries. Worst thing is that these players are our better players.

Add into the mix we cannot spend any money with the deadline fast approaching and the fact that teams below us either have loads of games in hand, will strengthen further in the window or have hit form, then we are in more than choppy waters.

Whoever comes in needs to more than hit the ground running...

Coutinho would have slotted in there quite nicely as it turned out. I don’t think we will see the Ukrainian lad in the league team again this season. Play him in the cup
