Can we win the league in the near future?

We're the exception to the rule mate, we beat Chelsea drew with Arsenal beat United, We are were we are if we would of had a relatively injury free season we would be flying FACT, why not in a couple of seasons, the signs are actually good

If we're gonna do it we need luck first and foremost, second of all we need a player like a Cantona, Tevez or Andy Gray to either emerge from our ranks or be added and thirdly we need to add 2 or 3 quality players to this year's squad. If that happens then we'll have our best shot since the 80s and there's no good footballing reason why we couldn't do it, counting beans doesn't come into it once the whistle is blown and it's just 11 vs 11.

We can't afford to pay a squad that's big enough and it's extremely unlikely we'll stumble across two strikers who slot and assist for fun while barely getting injured or tired, ever.

It depends what happens at other clubs. There are a lot of teams in contention this year, and both United and Spurs will come back stronger next season, but then again teams will take points off each other and so nobody will run away with it.

We've got one of the tightest defences and no side has lost fewer games than us but we would need to score more goals. Our forward line are very young generally, so they're trying to show what they can do individually, and they haven't played together for very long. If they start playing for each other a bit more we should find that we start hitting the back of the net more often.

We don't have the greatest strength in depth but then Liverpool have used fewer players than anyone. We do usually suffer fairly lengthy injuries though, whereas the RS have managed to keep their key men fit for more or less all of the campaign.

We're a solid side at the very least and if we could drop a Suarez, Hazard or Rooney in there we would be there or there abouts. We're definitely progressing in the right direction and hopefully someone like Barkley or Mirallas will turn into a world-beater or Roberto will manage to do a shrewd bit of business to pick somebody up who turns out to be a class act.

If Bobby can get us within touching distance in what is a TRANSITIONAL season, then I have faith in him to get us challenging next year. He's already said in an interview that he is looking long-term, hence foregoing the January window to concentrate on summer transfers.

I think the key is what he does then: remember how much bleach-drinking there was as the last transfer window ticked down with nothing doing? And then he pulled off Lukaku, together with Barry and Del. I don't care what [Poor language removed] other teams spout about our loans - I have faith Roberto to secure some top talent which will improve us even more. Bottom line: we are an attractive proposition for loan players cos we have a boss manager.

The players' mentality has shown major signs of improvement too, as has style of play.

Would LOVE to see a return to what made us the dog's bollocks in the 80's: plenty of unsung heroes playing as a TEAM.
