Still have it in all of its glory on DVR. What a crash though. Glad he is ok.

Oh yeah, thanks for the link, that is a decent quality clip.

Congrats to Lewis. But if you want to see real speed and racing should take a look at the TT, makes circuit promenading look what it is pedantic.

The Manx TT?? Yeah it is great, no argument here. You might find F1 to be 'pedantic' but the technical aspect is un-paralleled and those guys laps so consistently, hitting the same point on the apex lap after lap after lap. I very much enjoy it, along with most forms of motor-sports.

That's even more apparent on ciruits like Monaco and Canada. As we saw today, one slight mistake and you're out of the race. The skill involved is superb. Top stuff

Only a week until the USGP. Hopefully it will be a good 'un. Unlike recent years which has put a taint on the spectacle. I will concede that there are better tracks to have the USPG at, but they don't have the infrastructure that Indy has.

Speaking of that Monaco race the other week. Wow, another great race, again, Hamilton proving he isn't just fast, but he is mature and controlled, driving a precise race to take home second to Alonso while beating out heaps of experienced drivers.

And you can't just say it is the car, it is all down to the driver, Rubens had the same equipment as Schumi, but was always in the shadow, so what young Hamilton is doing is amazing.

hamilton vs schumi

never know

prime senna vs schumi

never know

the problem is that every few years the car companies that fund F1 put more into development than at other times, it means that a product - man ure or chelsea can out spend one another and have the upper hand over a season.

the last time a notts forest of the F1 circuit managed the impossible it was benetton, and funnily enough the amazing quantity in that solution was one michael schumacher.

lets see hamilton go to one of the relegation contenders and win a GP in third gear ONLY.

I found out another Hamilton first from Yahoo! news. He is the first black driver to win a F1 race. Add that his start is unmatched for someone his age, I am still pretty impressed. What he has done is nothing short of amazing, car or no car.

Really hard fought, was '03 when Schumacher beat Raikkonen by 2 points, it went down to the last race. Like it should.

Before that it would have been 1999 when Hakkinen took it by 2 from Eddie Irvine. Then in 94 when Schumi took it from Damon Hill by 1 point.

Then it was between Senna and Prost for various years.

But the last truly awesome season, IMO, was the 1988 season, where between them Senna and Prost won 15 of the 16 races for McLaren.

You're forgetting the year (97 or 98) that Villeneuve won it in the last race when Schumacher tried to push him off the track.

Didn't he get removed from the championship, so he doesn't appear in the standings IIRC.
