Welton in the TT one mistake and you are dead, they do not have gravel traps on the Isle of Man, and their laps are 20 odd miles of real road not some smooth circuit. In the superbike, the winner set a new lap record of over 130 mph, think about that, it was his average speed so what was he actually hitting at times to achieve that.

This is true RJ. Big kudos to the TT fellas. Got to be bloody brave to go at those sort of speeds on two wheels. Brave or insane anyway

Less than 24 hours after his high-speed accident in the Canadian Grand Prix, BMW Sauber F1 Team driver Robert Kubica has been released from hospital in Montreal.

The Polish driver was given the all-clear to leave by the local doctors and drove himself away from the hospital.

In the crash he suffered light concussion and a sprained right ankle but when he left the hospital at noon today (Monday) he was showing few signs of what he had been through.

"I have no pain and feel well. I want to thank everyone for the medical attention I received and for all the good wishes. Mario Theissen and other team members came to visit me and also thanks to Jarno Trulli who came as well. I am happy that I have been able to leave the hospital so quickly and will now prepare for the race in Indianapolis," he commented.

Kubica underwent intensive CT-scans and other checks in the Hospital du Sacré Coeur in Montreal.

Before being given the green light to race in Indianapolis Kubica will have to undergo further medical checks by the FIA Medical Delegate at the track on Thursday. This is standard procedure following such accidents.

According to the regulations the BMW Sauber F1 Team has until Thursday 16:00 hrs to announce its driver line-up for the weekend.

The accident on lap 27 of the race happened just after turn 9 when the 22-year old collided with the car of Jarno Trulli. There was no technical failure on the car.

Bloody hell, this is a testament to the strength of those monocoques, he is preparing for this coming weekends race in Indy. amazing.

Hamiltons success has upset put the cat among the pigeons at mclaren apparently.

Could it be a silly argument that spoils mclaren's "perfect" season.

And.. why the hell have they got perfect reliability all of a sudden....

could also help that Lewis has been under Mclarens umbrella for years now. a consummate professional. I like the way he approached Ron Dennis a few years ago at an awards function and asked to race for him. Ron Dennis watching him carting for 2 years then snapped him up, quoted as saying somewhere"I want that boy here and racing HIS way under MY tuition before someone else gets him and ruins what could be the best driver since shumi". Ron Dennis knows his onions and if he is willing to invest in him over the last 5 years(I think 5, may be 4) to get him to this stage, then I think he is going to be huge.

had to giggle hearing Alonso spit his dummy about the McLaren engineers being 'happier' about Hamilton's win than they were with his 2. Not that he's a jealous primadonna or 'owt.... still if you want to guarantee the sterling support of your pit crew, bitching about them ("they love him more than me") is bound to be the right way to go

Yeah gord, and have you seen lewis when he comes down to the pits before a race. He goes round every member of his crew and shakes their hand to say hello, and asks them if they are OK. The lad has class.
