Car brands and their appeal: what calls out to you?

Windscreen wipers etc no

The rubber on them is better quality and lasts longer Joey.

I do use non patent parts, but would never use them for anything that really mattered - engine, clutch, gearbox etc.

It’s a false economy and a lot of the non factory parts are made in China, but boxed up in the UK and listed as UK parts.

You can tell by the code on the boxes where they’re made.

I do appreciate that, but rubber can very in quality.

Also non patent parts can often not be a precise fit too, which can make a massive difference on things like seals and can lead to leaks.

Thirty years of experience has taught me not to be certain non patent parts.

My boot hydrolic suspension opening arms leaked - both of them picked a pair up from Motor world for £34.00 - The dealership wanted that price just for one strut ..... they work fine & were made by Quinton Hazel .... been on 12 months ...

I work in the trade (insurance and breakdown) and I'd advise anyone against Vauxhalls, they're [Poor language removed]. I currently own a Vauxhall, it's a-b for us so it does it's job but when it's replaced it'll be a Honda, Renault or Mazda based on my experiences. It sits on the driveway 90% of the time anyway so I just want something easy and cheap to maintain.

I know when I needed Bosch wiper blades 18 months ago you couldn’t get any for love nor money as their two European factories were in Russia and Ukraine

I like the shape, but not in that pink !!!!!!

It`s got real E type vibes.
As a design exercise its cool but It's a concept car, the real deal will be way different - they always are.

But it's still an EV - fancy Jag styling notwithstanding
I still think that they coming in to the E.V. market way too late, it may well turn out to be a late developer and be a collectors icon in 20+yrs if so, the by then pensioner Barbie will be welcome to it
