What with the run we are on in the league, I was hoping we could have taken it into this competition.

No wonder the club doesn’t win anything with some of the reactions in here. A two legged semi final against Liverpool. There’d have been no downside for us, everyone would expect us to lose, they’d have absolutely hated it, and had we won it would have been a huge moment to start turning round the mentality of the club. Going out the cup early to avoid facing top teams is not the mentality that wins anything.

Yes but you said they would be unlikely to beat West Ham, I think, after hammering them recently, they would've been highly likely to beat West Ham.
