Once again Iwobi was by far our best performer, Onana is going to be some player for us and I was very impressed with young Warrington. I just hope that the few posters who keep calling for 'king Salamon' to start, watched that tonight and saw how out of his depth he was even against opposition as limited as Fleetwood. Even if we have to play Michael Kean up front, he could not possibly be worse than Rondon.
Rondon is awful, but so is playing without a striker. It’s an awful choice and I’m glad I don’t have to make it.n

Iwobi for man of the match……again.

It was awful to watch though wasn’t it? Rondon getting bullied by 2 yards dogs was painfully hilarious.

Vinagre’s touch was still at Finch Farm

Onana couldn’t really get anything going as he was too busy picking himself up from foul after foul

Coleman was alright considering he was playing in the back 3

Patterson did well, I think he’ll end being a really good player for us

Gray may have scored but he was infuriating. One trick pony

McNeil also infuriating. No trick pony

Keane was shaky on the ball on usual

Welch did ok, made himself available to receive the ball. Still a lot to learn about his positioning.

Begovic wasn’t really tested, but did his job when asked.

Warrington is gonna save us some money. He’s impressed with every opportunity he’s had

Tarkowski brought a little bit of calm when he came on

Mills didn’t really have time to do anything

Next round and all that.
Yep agree with almost everything, Coleman was better than ok. Full game first game back, flawless really, and still got forward towards the end. Really like Warrington

Absolutely love the look of Warrington.

Not seen a guy come and ask for the ball like that in many years at goodison.
Makes me wonder, very similar in style to Billy gilmore and in no way looks in any way inferior to him. I know its only one game but you can see the strengths and weaknesses of players fairly quickly. Needs more opportunities in the first team. Looks a player.

Why did we lineup vs Fleetwood with a back 5 btw? If any of you hoped we’d go to a back 4 eventually, stop thinking it.
We literally have 1 'senior' midfielder available. And no strikers.

We have lots of defenders suited to playing a 5 at the back.

I'll leave you to figure out why we lined up like that.

Rondon is awful, but so is playing without a striker. It’s an awful choice and I’m glad I don’t have to make it.n
Just ping the ball off him for the forwards either side or runner from midfield. Call it the rebound forward position. trying to turn the marker for the shot or run should be strongly discouraged.
