I think what we'll see is players who can perform in front of a world class manager or they can't. Sorting the wheat from the chaff. If that takes a word in their ear or a boot out of the club, I'm grand with that. There is nowhere to hide now. Ancelotti is unanimously the supporters choice.
Coaching staff too. Everyone has to be on their A game. Isn't that the expectations we all have to live with in our jobs? The supporters will turn on under performing players way before Ancelotti. He has that much goodwill. Furthermore, Brands needs to step up to justify his hiring is spot on. Assuming the board give the required funds.
The work ethic that Ferguson reminded the players, is the bare minimum. Turning existing or future transfers into a team that has the work ethic and that can compete, is Ancelotti's job. It's not his reputation on the line here, it's the clubs and players.
