Carlo Ancelotti Appointed Everton Manager

I think Don carlo is actually looking forward to his biggest challenge to date.

To make our sleeping giant of a club a true city rival to them lot.. And hopefully even better.

I genuinely believe this too. What does he have to lose. Nothing. He's already earned his status as an all time great. The temptation of taking a giant of the game back into success. I'd say that would be the ultimate holy grail of a football manager. Personally, If I was him, I couldn't wait to get started. Especially if I had the funds behind me.

Yes, and that's the type of person Mourhino will never be.

All this talk in the media about paychecks is an absolute crock. He could've gone to China etc. if that was the case. Ancelotti is still hungry and we're going to be the benefactor of that.

Napoli made a catastrophic error letting him go. The same reason he went there is the same reason he's coming to us. Don't let his easy going demeanor fool you. This guy has ambition and winning mentality coursing through his veins.

I agree. I still think he would have come if offered the money. I just don't think he had the balls and took the easier option. Probably thought there was more to work with at Spurs. But let's get this straight. Spurs are a fine club but they don't hold a candle to our record in the game. Besides I'd have carried Ancelotti here meself, with Mourinho, I'd have called an Uber.

Imagine the politics and expectation at clubs like United and Real... I bet he's had his fill of constantly being needlessly pressured day in day out and also having to look after neymar types..

Coming to us is a complete different challenge. The pressure here is nothing like he's used too, I'm really hoping that he will find turning us right round quite an enjoyable experience.. I can't see why he would struggle doing it. Four or five top tier or as close to top tier players and we'd be firing right up the league under his management

My hope is he’s in the project for the long term.

Could go either way really. He’s achieved everything, if things start getting a little stiff, he could just be like “I’m off”.
Alternatively, he could just do that well that a big name comes in for him. But he’s been at most of thebig ones in Europe, who left has the pulling power?
Atletico, Roma, City and maybe returning to Milan?

come on Carlo, make us great again.

Besides Moore's the crazy thing is, that the pressure has come from the supporters not the board. Which has been part of the problem for so long.
Yup.

I honestly think he's guna love it here. The love he will get off the fans when the team starts playing will be unreal

From what I've read about him he likes to submerge himself in the local culture and become part of the family. It all sounds too good to be true!

We've finally got to a stage when we're at least on the same page, when it comes to ambition. It has literally taken a generation and unsurprisingly there's the answer to why we've won nowt.

The media and I know, there's some posters who say they should be ignored. I don't deny that but you have to accept they are telling the narrative. As a consequence a whole generation of Evertonians have grown up being prepped like fois gras.

All this time, sections of the supporter base have stuck to their guns, outraged by "knives to a gunfight", "plucky little Everton" etc. This is simply not the club we were raised on. It was a betrayal.

Once this narrative was set, there was an escalator of ex-kopites reinforcing that view.

It's great to see the fan base unified again.

50/50 silva shambles

60/40 allardyce shambles

50/50 Koeman shambles

50/50 Martinez shambles

It is literally 100/0 ancelotti barring a couple of oddballs.

This is what the club has needed for a lonnnng time
