Carlo Ancelotti

Why are YOU rattled tho Archie?
I am absolutely made up mate. Since Duncan took charge it feels like a breath of fresh air. I had resigned myself to Moyes coming back and it cast a shadow over the feel-good factor of Duncan. But since Ancelotti is nailed on to arrive it's going from one huge boost to maybe the most exciting appointment of our entire history. Finally feeling happy to be an Everton fan and can see light at the end of the tunnel. Christmas come early.

I am willing to bet all three of those players will improve a heck of a lot under Carlos, Archie.

Yes, it will take a few years to become a super force but to misquote Chairman Mao......”a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”.

And if Carlos does join us, that first step has just been taken.

Hear hear mate. Could not agree more. Incidentally I think DCL has come on leaps and bounds in the last two weeks. Long may it continue!

Dunno why people are talking about them in this thread to be honest.

I mean they are about to win the league in March, doubt anything can rattle them at this point like.

But wasn't that the whole idea with the Rooney signing too and he was average and left the season after. I'm not knocking the idea of Zlatan but I'd just hope we'd be aiming for players with a few more years in them and at their peak especially with Ancelloti as manager. Surely he gives us some pulling power?

Rooney was supposed to be the face of the club and raise our world wide profile but two months into him being at the club he was arrested for drink driving while cheating on his wife. Still finished as our top scorer that season but it was a very poor season.

Zlatan on the other hand maybe arrogance personified but he is a ultimate professional and you never hear of his off the field antics.

No doubt if we did sign him within a week he'd be found in town at 4am in the gutter off his Barnet snorting 3 for 50 off a brass.

Zlatan causes mayhem with his mouth.

I'm not letting myself get excited until I see him holding up the scarf.

I'll get excited when we have him and Moise recreating this

My number one preference would have been Pochetinno. The guy has experience building a team to compete at the top.

He doesn't though, the spine of his Spurs squad was already there when he arrived. Yes, they added to it with some good signings, but he didn't have to rip a team down to build it up. The main pieces where in place.

Of the two, I'd take Ancelotti each and every time.
