What I am clinging to is the the British journalists have been consistently behind the curve when it comes to recent Everton transfers etc. The foreign media seemed to have the drop on them over Mina and Kean etc. Hopefully it’s the same with Ancelotti.

Everton have been SILENT.

Usually a good sign. In fact, the only confirmed/true thing in all this has been that Vitorria bloke saying he was "removing himself from the process".

Everything else has been utter finger in the air "journalism". Talksport were unveiling Moyes last week ffs.

The only tangible clue to Ancelotti being true, is that he hasnt said it isnt. That, and some dunce isnt already here.

Thinking about the statement last night, I suspect it was to stop the recruitment process being compromised. They certainly haven’t poured cold water on anything and nor has Ancelotti. Fingers crossed.

I would be more wary if I am honest. Lets face it, if he hadnt been sacked, there isnt a prayer we would have approached Napoli to get him. So thats convenient. He hasnt shut down anything in the Italian nor Brit media, even now a salary is being "reported". Leverage for other jobs? Dunno.

On the subject of us paying Napoli anything for a manager they no longer wanted...... I'd be interested to know if we got any returns on RM or RK when they walked into high profile jobs after being relieved of their duties with us??
