You are right with some security people.

So this not happening again.
That article has really put the willies up me.

I was of the opinion that there was far too much public chatter for this not to be happening 100% and that it was just a matter of a few days.

But that article implies it’s not remotely as signed off as we thought.

It really would be another level of embarrassment all together if it transpires that Ancelotti rejects us in the end because of a lack of ambition or some pathetic dithering over details.

Don’t do this to us.

I will not believe it.

Always makes me laugh when kopite journalists like King type out articles like that as if they’re showing compassion for Everton. Yet when you read it you can see it’s nothing but pure patronisation and undermining of the club. It’s all pretence, it’s all about how they perceive the club in their bitter minds and where they really want Everton to be as a club in terms of stature. He wants us to stop looking for big time managers and stick to the plucky little Moyes/Martinez type managers who have it all to prove because he says that’s when we are at our best but what he’s really trying to say is we should stick to those types of managers because he knows we will get absolutely nowhere with them and that’s where Everton belong, in his fat Kopite bitter head.

That is quite the stay in your lane stuff.

I bet he didnt say the same when Klopp took over a failing Liverpool.
I understand where he's coming from regarding Moshiri and his bungling.

That said, I wont take his commentary on Everton and what he thinks its identity is or should be right now - that piece is shot right through with Kopite arrogance.

In short: mind your own 'kin business.

From hiring former Preston managers, former relegating Wigan managers, from hiring managers from Southampton, to Fat Sam, and to the dud we hired from Watford, and now we are on the verge of recruiting a manager with a CV like this.

Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain[188]

Of course the challenge at Everton is a different, in the sense that he is taking over a club that hasn't been a major player in 32 years, and trying to help it become a force in english and european football again. It will take time, there will be setbacks along the way.But with patience and good planning, then Carlo Ancelotti can bring the fun times back to Goodison again. So yeah all aboard the Carlo train!
Big words from a guy whose been touting Eddie Howe and Chris Wilder for the job. :coffee:
