why did napoli bin him off?

genuine question - they qualified for the champs league knock outs right?

There was some sort of squad revolt. Not sure exactly what happened but the club is in turmoil

EDIT: Dont think it had anything to do with CA it was the chairman kicking off with the players i think

Just read this on another site :-
Not a bad read if you want him.

This obsession with foreign managers needs binning.

Everton getting Ancelotti is like that gorgeous looking bird at a night club, no one ever approaches because there is no chance she will go with you.

Give Mosheri credit he has approached that bird and she has said what car do you drive and he says a fiesta, but she wants assurance that should she go out with you, you update your car to a Range Rover. That’s the delay, Mosheri did not think it would get past the initial contact.

That’s a poor analogy on so many levels mate. It only perpetuates the notion that we’re a small club with a small club level of insecurity and desire to be accepted

Napoli situation was pretty much stuff like this:

To be fair to the guy he's been let down so many times before RM, RK, BFS, MS Bit like a sex toy all that build up then batteries die right at the climax. Regardless how rich you are it's going to burn a hole in any companies profits with compensation.

He's learnt his lesson took a true business man with him Usmanov according to SS and learnt how to get the deal done. The hold ups are compo from Napoli and not our side. We don't know what the contracts state just being fired doesn't mean he's on the bread line straight away there could be a clause around when he can return to management for all we know. Bit like being put on perm gardening leave.

It'll be done. If reports are correct we have k'in great Christmas present all be it a day late! Happy Times and looking forward to the 2nd half of the season.

I'm well onboard for this - hiring him will give the club and our supporters such a buzz, I can't see any negatives with it.

Finally some ambition and positivity - it's been far too long a suffering without it.

Loads of posters who have lurked under the surface or only just joined piping up about how it's a "risk" and "he's too old"... Get a grip and fork off back to RAWK you quilts.

Yeah, it could’ve been Ancelotti that skyrocketed PSG back into the elite...... or it could have been the Qatar government who took over PSG a couple of months prior and gave him an unlimited budget.

Do you accept that Ancelotti has never had to conduct a comprehensive re-build during his career, the likes of which would be necessary to get this club into the top 4 in the next 2-3 years, and that he typically delivers success with a level of players he doesn’t have access to here?

Sure, if FM going to start playing Footy Manager on cheat mode and throwing money at it, you’d expect we’ll get those calibre of players and can accelerate our growth which is exciting - but surely it’s reasonable to be at least mildly concerned about Ancelotti’s inexperience delivering on a project like that and the financial and long term implications of that strategy for the club (i.e we aren’t City or PSG)?

8 years at Milan
In total, Ancelotti led Milan for 423 games; only Nereo Rocco has been in charge of the club for more matches.[10]

People are entitled to have questions about a 60 year old who’s best days are behind him, it doesn’t make them Liverpool supporters. This kind of post harms an otherwise very interesting and well moderated forum.

However I do agree that recruiting such a talented and successful manager as CA is only going to be good for the club, there are basically zero negatives.

Yeah, he’s definitely in the HOF there, justifiably so. His time at Milan was less impressive than his collective achievements during tenures at Chelsea, PSG, Madrid and Bayern, for me anyway.
