It was basically the last 7 matches, 5 draws and 2 losses in those. For me, its the problem with the modern game. A bad streak happens and its the idea that "this can never turn around, it will continue forever" and the manager gets canned. The reality is that they were 1 point off CL, then had 5 matches where they drew 4 of them, and he got fired.

Worth pointing out the chairman of Napoli going berserk likely did not help their form also

Do we now think it is certain that he’s our new manager? Sky say a couple of days and discuss asst managers. Has it been confirmed by anyone we can believe as yet? I’ve missed the news and just catching up on here.

With this mouth-watering ambitious appointment looming is anyone concerned regarding the Financial Fair Play regulations we have to adhere to?

Carlo will attract a higher standard of player for sure which will mean higher wages etc. Will we be allowed to keep spending big is what I'm asking?

I wonder has Carlo taken this into account when seeking assurances for future transfer funds?

I suppose it depends on whether he's in it for a final payday bonanza before retirement or he's genuinely up for transforming a sleeping giant!

What the hell is his motivation here?

Nothing is certain, not even if there'll be a tomorrow. Rocks and blocks of ice are randomly careering about the solar system.

My advice is never to search for certainty, just enjoy the journey.

And eat cake.

Unfortunately mate this is where we are at now as a club, we used to drive the nice cars and all the birds wanted to come, but we have had so many bad mechanics over the past 25 years or so and been ripped off, we are back to the just making the numbers up stage
