Carlo Ancelotti

Of course, but Ancelotti has also been experiencing diminishing returns of late. The way he just goes from job to job is also concerning.

He is arguably the best manager of his generation, but the question remains as to whether his time has passed, He also is not a man who has ever had to perform with a below-par squad, going all the way back to the start of his career.
Ancelotti was World Class when he was working with World Class players, whether he still is only time will tell.

If you look at @Keiran suggesting Pelligrini is a world class manager comparable to Ancelotti.

In europe hes won 1 premier league...nothing else of note.

Its one thing to get the top jobs but its another to win EVERYTHING ;)

In terms of the squad...we have the money to build it up otherwise he wouldnt be coming.

He will want to leave a legacy behind and I think this is a project he feels will show the world how good a manager he is.

Arsenal have decided on Arteta instead of John Ebbrell...weve gone for one of the best managers of all time.

He attracts players...if we have better players then even if he fails top managers will have better players to work with.

But why even think of that...this is a magical time.

Once you have better footballers, the existing manager should be able to get them playing well enough to keep his job so there won't be as many new managerial appointments.

That too, but it appears as though most people are happy changing after so many years and that includes the managers themselves these days. So you have to prepare for that eventuality. I don't think we'll see a Ferguson/Wenger or even Moyes again at the sharp end of the league staying for so long.

After 4 windows it will not be a below par squad.
