Choices. Luck. A multitude of reasons.

Benitez is a superstar manager but has spent the last few years of his career managing Newcastle and in China. Go figure.

Different managers have different motivations. Ancelotti might have a better agent. Who knows?

So the reason Ancelotti's stock is so much higher than Pellegrini's and why hes managed AC Milan, Real, PSG, Chelsea and Bayern winning everything there is whilst Pellegrini has since his spell at Real managed City, Malaga, some Chinese mob and is about to get fired by West Ham has nothing to do with him being a much better football manager?

Just luck, choices and agents.

Stop what youre doing right now and take a moment to consider the number of global teams who would love to have Ancelotti as manager...think of their fans reactions....like kids on Christmas morning.

Then imagine those same fans reading this thread and seeing a minority fanction in the ranks not wanting a world class manager.

Not just that, they consider Pellegrini as the same level as Ancelotti and want Eddie Howe.

Bewildering...

You can put them in two boxes.

Morons.
Kopites.

(These two boxes are not mutually exclusive).

It is the most exciting thing to happen to Everton for several decades.

Couldn’t agree more and, once it’s announced, it will be intriguing to see his impact on the team and the club over the next couple of years. As I said earlier, it will be one hell of a ride and much better to be overwhelmed by an appointment (even if I don’t neccessarily think it’s the right one) than underwhelmed.

Laughable

If Ancelotti comes its not going to be a long term thing. If he is here in 18 months and doing a decent job then as soon as a bigger club is needing a manager he will be off with his kicks round his ankles. As good as he is, I don't think he is the right fit. The money will be ridiculous. Anyone thinking that Ancelotti automatically means the likes of James etc are going to be coming at the bit to sign are deluded. I'd rather the club were honest with its position and brought in Howe to build something.

To be honest it should be Dunc till the end of the season and see where the club is then.

oh wow. joined monday

welcome to GOT

If he does arrive.. I assume, it would mean we have promised him funds in the next few transfer windows to bring his players in. Which is a positive. Just not sure how his son and Dunc can both be assistant managers but I guess they will figure it out.
