Carlo Ancelotti

He has won trophies at six of his nine clubs.

He has a win rate of over 55% of seven of his nine clubs.

In the past decade, he has managed Real, Bayern and Napoli.

Yes there’s reservations, but if we were playing too trumps you’d be quickly licking your wounds.

That’s fair. And I’m not saying Ancelotti is a bad manager or a bad appointment, some people seem to think that’s what is being said. It’s not.

Ultimately, my view that he’s not the right manager for us, right now, is one shared by the powers that be at Arsenal, and by all accounts was the opinion of the hierarchy at Liverpool a few years ago, too. It’s not a daft opinion, it just differs to the majority in this case.

It also doesn’t mean I’m not excited to see how it goes down.

Takes out the job that disproves his length of stay theory for no reason at all. Good try though.

That’s how most statistical analysis works mate, if you have an obvious outlier or anomaly, you remove it.

He’s averaged 19 months at 8 of his 9 clubs.

If you included Milan in that, it would distort the picture to an average of over 31 months - but he factually hasn’t stayed anywhere other than Milan for that length of time, you see?

It creates an inaccurate perception of how long Ancelotti stays at clubs - which is ultimately what I was trying to point out.

You can argue it, but if someone casually asked you how long Ancelotti stayed at clubs, you’d answer 19 months, and you’d be right.

During his time at Parma, Scala won the Coppa Italia in 1992, the Cup Winners' Cup and the European Super Cup in 1993, and the UEFA Cup in 1995. He also managed runners-up medals in the Coppa Italia in 1995, in the Cup Winners' Cup in 1994, and twice in the Supercoppa Italiana in 1992 and 1995, while his best result in the league was a third-place finish during the 1994–95 Serie A season. He left Parma in June 1996.
He's a bit late getting his cv in now. Still better than Howe or Pelligrini.

I'd say about 2 years because no one discusses things in months except for baby ages.

Stop what youre doing right now and take a moment to consider the number of global teams who would love to have Ancelotti as manager...think of their fans reactions....like kids on Christmas morning.

Then imagine those same fans reading this thread and seeing a minority fanction in the ranks not wanting a world class manager.

Not just that, they consider Pellegrini as the same level as Ancelotti and want Eddie Howe.

Bewildering...
Always said we need a manager the whole fan base would buy into
Guess that manager for some doesn’t exist
