You're advocating staying with Dunc and then getting someone else in next summer whereas we've just gone and signed one of the most successful managers ever. Ergo, your opinion is uninformed.

I will say for him that he seems to be able to spot a player (He took a big chance on Ake for instance and people were going mad on here at how much he paid for him, but he was resoundly justified for doing so)

He has a win rate of over 55% at seven of his nine clubs. It’s about 60 % at four of them.

In the past decade, he has managed Real, Bayern and Napoli.

Yes there’s reservations, but if we were playing top trumps you’d be quickly licking your wounds.
