Carlo Ancelotti

Can see where people have reservations about Carlo. He may be coming to end we don’t know. There is no guarantee he will come and be a success this is football. He may be coming for one big pay day but he could get triple what he can pay in China. For me personally I think this is a challenge that he needs to kick start him again. Yes I have a view doubts but we would over anyone. But he is a world class manager and if he can’t get us going one way or other then I’m stuck as who can. Interesting to hear city fans saying that us getting Carlo is similar to when they got Mancini after sacking Mark Hughes. He got them the foundations to who they are now. Now not saying we will do it or even to that level but I’m willing to see.
All about this, its a 50/50 at the end of the day. Alot of people would say we are being pessimistic as per but id say with ancelotti we are more on the side of caution with an attitude of wel lets just throw the dice and see what happens. Whereas a mark hughes, moyes type would just be us basically jumping straight back on the hamster wheel and have everyone's backs up from the start.

He has never managed more then 2 seasons in his last 5 jobs.
His last 2 jobs he was sacked after 1 season,

The length of the contract just means he gets paid a wedge if he is sacked, hence his 200k+ a week pay packet

Remember when you said this back in November, regarding Pellegrini? Well we’ve now got one who’s also won other trophies as well so you must be over the moon.

I am.

Ancelotti is one of the all-time greats.

I know you don't mate.

You can still like the guy and say he's an exceptional manager but disagree that he's right for us, right now. It comes back to my 'horses for courses' argument. Whether you agree or not is upto you, I don't believe Guardiola would be able to seamlessly adapt to running a club like Tranmere. Just as Micky Mellon wouldn't be able to work with a team like City. Before anyone starts, I'm not saying we are the equivalent of Tranmere in this situation, I'm just giving an extreme to illustrate the argument.

Both teams very happy with their respective managers, both good managers at what they do, but there are different skills required to do different jobs. There are challenges that Mellon faces at Tranmere that are utterly alien to Guardiola that he's never had to deal with before, and vice versa.
Who is right for us?

Weird way of going about it, you’ve done nothing but tell everyone to calm down and pick out the fact he hasn’t stayed at clubs for longer than 2 years for ages all day. But then you were essentially calling people idiots for not wanting Emery the other week??

How many times has he taken over a side in 16th, 3 points off the bottom 3 and hasn’t been a consistent feature in Europe in years, mate?
Wow we are 16th wh
The Media and I use that term very loosely are absolutely gutted that little Everton have managed to convince someone like ancelloti to be our manager. Amazing how when spurs paid mourinho £15m a year that was ok but for us to pay £11m is effectively bribery.
20 mil Mourinho on

Mancini plays a different, more defensive style. Much more like Capello than Ancelotti. The sort of guy who would also lay a good foundation
