The players for me this one. Ancelotti used what hes been given the best he could. They bottled it again , but this time it was against kids. They missed about 10 complete sitters that even carlton palmer would have scored.

do us a flavour lads go out there and don't look interested.

To what extent, is it his job to motivate, inspire and organise this team though?

I saw the likes of Rochdale and Tranmere more than compete with Premier League teams.

He's get better to work with than them....

I know we are all gutted, but for Christ's sake even Silva got 18 months. It's not his team lets give him a chance, probably thinking right now, why he took the blue pill.
Nobody is asking for his head mate. Just stating he needs to accept some responsibility for any embarrassment

Mate they play for Everton they are playing the rs in the cup with 8000 fans there for them, what more motivation do they need.

So a free ride for the Manager who picks and orgsnises these players to perform like that?
Let's have it right they've been performing like his for months. Yeah he gets a free ride. If was a player out there today and seen that Liverpool team in front of me,I'd have been rubbing my hands, but no they decided to go into their shells again. I didn't see anyone put one solid tackle in! Every single player is responsible for himself when he crosses that line, Ancelotti can't do it for them. We are talking about them playing against kids! Never mind that their most experienced player went off injured....Again I'll say,All on the players this one.

This. Carlo has no blame what so ever. I hope he clears the lot out and builds a whole new team

Their youth are actually good though. This isn’t Roanoke FC’s 3rd string or something
Who gives a flying fork? They’re a team of youth players, most of whom will not have long premier league careers, and a team of 100k/week players were outclassed by them. Our U23s are regularly the best in the league and we’ll be lucky to see 2 players a year have a chance with the senior side. It’s absolutely shocking that senior pros were outplayed by a bunch of children.

Well done to the morons questioning Ancelotti, as though we'd been good prior to him joining and our form has taken a dip since his arrival. You made me laugh when I didn't think that was possible. Keep chatting wham you laughable gang of utter weirdos, some of you are the biggest comedy act on the internet! lol

I totally agree. And that's my point. His task of inspiring, organising and motivating the team today, which is absolutely in his job description, should've been easy.

But he didn't. The players looked bereft of confidence. Shattered by the occasion and none of them really seemed to know what to do.

That's on him. The players aren't good enough, but as manager he's responsible for the Football we play.

Arteta, Solskjaer, Lampard have all gone in to clubs out of sorts and had immediate impacts - the 'new manager bounce' we all craved.

It's not really happened and today has been the most humbling defeat I can recall.

Is it? We have played how many games in the past few weeks? Hadn’t we just played our first team against City as well? Players had to be tired.

People are more concerned with who we lost to and less concerned with how or why. We will get better as the season progresses. This was a silly fixture to get upset about as we never win there.

Right but those questions are asked after 18 months of mostly dross. Not a managers 3rd game in which he is having to deal with dross of someone else's doing.

The idea of placing any blame whatsoever at Ancelotti's door is preposterous.

He gets a free pass from me for as long as it takes to get rid of these spineless freeloaders and replace them with actual footballers, which let's be honest might be about 2 years.
