2019/20 Carlo Ancelotti

He literally seen the team lose to Liverpool’s U-23s just over two weeks ago. If he doesn’t know what this team is capable by now, he never will.

Oh he will know, and he will make changes when he is able to.

His hands are somewhat tied right now with a bunch of players who have failed for a bunch of managers on the bounce. Not even one of the best in the world will completely eradicate that without some major changes.

I’m sure he’s preparing to punt a significant number of players. We aren’t going to do major business until the summer and he can’t just drop everyone and play the u18s. Even though I wish he would.....

What people will be doing is assessing how he does. I hope the fans don't have a blind unflinching faith in Ancelotti. If people think he's getting things wrong, he needs to be called out.

I agree, but not after 4 weeks when he barely knows where FF is or what is players can and can’t do. And I’ll take the skills if Carlo Ancelotti over anyone in forum, and every fan should have undoubted faith in him... no questions asked

but don’t be mistaken, we hit a bad patch and these morons will be calling for his head

His substitutions are strange at the best of times, and tonight's were responsible for another embarrassing result.

The trouble started with Davies and Digne being unable to play their way up the line because Davies, who isn't even good enough to get a game in his own position, doesn't have anything close to the skill required to manoeuvre in tight spaces.

In the end, there was a full-back on the right flank, a centre midfielder on the left and a raffle winner up front, so it shouldn't take a multiple-time Champions League winner to figure out that there would be no out ball for the defence. It was so poor that Newcastle, who turned up to lose, were basically obliged to try and score despite having withdrawn their forwards.

His post-game comments about Istanbul were bizarre as well.

1 month in, I'm sure he's starting to realse what being the manager of the most cursed club in football is like.
Buckle up, Carlo, the freak results don't end here.

Correct. There are some major issues that need sorting and it will take a while. I still want to punch a horse right now though.

nah

I’ll think I’ll pass on being an entitled impatient moron. Thanks anyway though

we have been mostly crap my whole adult life. There’s no quick fixes coming from anywhere.

It's not really entitled to be thinking tonight's last minute was pathetic though? It's not really moronic to think getting beaten by Liverpool's third team either. People aren't just going to clap along when these things happen. It wouldn't be normal if they did.

Yeah they will but equally if we win 4 on the bounce at the start of next season people will be proclaiming a new era of Everton dominance. It's just the nature of football fans, it's not exclusive to our club.

Horses for courses. There are times you need to go defensive to see a game out and there are times you don’t. Newcastle offered no threat until Ancelotti ruined our tempo with terrible subs.

Horses for courses?? so what your saying is “nobody knows what will happen if he makes the changes or not”??

Makes perfect sense that

a bit like Schrödinger’s cat
