The fans will judge on what they are paying to see. This is all very repetitive I know, but they were really entertained for 70 minutes until the big man pulled the rug from under us. Players come and go and hopefully plenty will go this close season, even on frees. Carlo is going nowhere but needs to swallow his ego and take the paying fans with him. They will respond.

As ive said many times, if people at this club start listening to the fans we will be in League Two before you can say TERN.

When I say not arsed, I mean in the bigger picture sense. I am arsed about the result but I know that there is a lot more positives than negatives to be taken from that performance. When we have a fit squad and more of carlos players it will be totally different all round.

Somehow when the 2nd goal went in I failed to see the bigger picture. But yes I know what you mean. Another season or maybe 2 with our collars pulled up against the prevailing football storms.

We are playing better than under Silva no question at all, the coming 2 weeks training and mind control ( hopefully a new face or two ) may see us go for top 6

I am genuinely excited to see what he can do with a fit Gomes, Rich, Gbamin (maybe) and his own signings. Will be some great football to watch. In the meantime, it might not be so pretty

Whoah there. I think you are not serious. Do we sit on our hands, or chuckle with approval if things go badly wrong? Or just remain quiet I suppose, which would confirm the allegations of those on here who probably do not go anyway and who pretend the atmosphere at Everton is crap. Good atmosphere last night until Uncle Carlo shot us in the head. Come on Carlo just admit it and we close this particular door and move on. After all it was only 2 points we threw away.

I think fans should only support at games.

That would give ammunition to the visiting half wits with their chant "This is a library etc". Plenty of noise of one kind or another is what the game is partly about. This is not netball. VAR has temporarily for the time being spoiled the game by muting celebrations from players and crowds until some unseen twerp pronounces on a goal or no goal and gets it "wrong" too often.

Couldn't go yesterday, but my brother did, and he said that apart from the 2 minutes of madness at the end, that he thought that it was near to our best performance of the season (OK we haven't had many of those I know), and that Newcastle, as they did at Chelsea performed a smash and grab raid on us. He also was of the opinion that, as quite a few on here have rightly pointed out, we miss Gana Gueye and haven't replaced him. Would those 2 late goals have happened if he was still playing for us ? Carlo is working with damaged goods, but not all the squad come into this category.......I am optimistic about his ability to turn our fortunes around and to start slagging him off after a month in charge as some have done is pathetic imo. I do believe however that he should not be exempt from criticism as manager, but we need to have patience and not expect miracles this season. The board are however another matter, but this thread is not the place for that discussion.
