Well we didn’t struggle to attract Ancelotti did we?

Completely different kettle of fish

Getting ancelotti on the promise of ambition and money to spend with long term planning is easy.

Telling a player we have ambition with no track record other than mid table finishes is a different story.

Ancelotti can have 200 million to spend for his players and earn a trophy that way. 24 years and a whole host of crap seasons is the record for players to base us on.

I don't see a lack of European football as much of an issue next season. The clubs ambition and backing of USM should see us kick on. I imagine we will target players in the Richarlison bracket. Young with massive potential.

If this virus continues to cause havok there might not even be a competition. :(

It's not about what we can say we can offer , it's what we can offer. Promise European football and title challenges but finish 11th again and have no trophy in 25 years , well that's lying even with ancelotti.

Sell a relegation battle to Europe in half a season under ancelotti, completely different story. You then ask what can Carlo achieve if I come and play for him

so not only do we get robbed our manager faces a potential touchline ban for absolutely nothing, OH THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.
"If Ancelotti accepts the charge, it is understood he would receive a fine and avoid a touchline ban for the trip to his former team Chelsea on Sunday. "

Everyones giving him time Matt.

What im saying is that its obvious by this point he's going to keep getting let down until the summer by the same players so either play the kids instead of the crap or change it up to stop said crap players costing us so many points.

Why would we punt on the season?

Contest it and risk the one game ban. Better than the usual rolling over for a belly tickle we've done in the past. Force the FA to wash their dirty laundry in a hearing.

A fine, because they realize it makes them look really bad and everyone would mock them for a ban.

Interestingly, for those that still believe the league doesnt have it out for us, we are thus far the only team to have a player given a retroactive Red for "fooling" the referee, and the only one to have a coach given a red card under the new complaining rule. Bet it will be the only one. Except this time, it isnt Niasse and so the rest of the world groans instead of laughs.
