It's early days for him trying to change things round on the training ground, but I'm really looking forward to see how he has them set up and what tactics he uses today.

To have a thinker as a coach again is a boost we've needed for years.

I'm kind of hoping he's playing kick and rush now just to see Dave explode with cognitive dissonence.

My only concern with Ancelotti is that you can’t polish a turd and I’m convinced most of our squad is one big cumulative turd. We need to bankroll him but not spend it on absolute cack this time. I don’t know whether to be excited or terrified.
I disagree, to an extent: yes there’s some dross, yet I believe many of the players have underperformed because of a chronic lack of leadership.

Without a showdown of a doubt we will need to make additions in key areas, but I think a fair few will show improvements under his guidance and regime.

Agree but I dont think he'll look to change much given the time he had. Think we could see a formation change but similar tactics maybe just fine tuned. Think the next few games after Burnley we'll really start seeing how he will handle this squad until he gets the squad he wants.
The games come thick and fast and the amount of training declines over the Christmas / New Year period, but I'm hoping to see what type of in-game decisions Ancelotti makes from the sidelines. He'll see things that we wont and will tweak it.

It's going to be fascinating.

Exciting times for sure

Alot of work to do...

Priority to start off, 4 signings needed (Centre back, defensive midfielder, Number 10 and 9).... All those likely need to wait for the summer if it means getting quality...

Not convinced by either of our Right backs, but we need to rebuild slowly....

Importantly, we need to stop these Walcott/Tosun/Iwobi type panic buys...

Brands needs to step up soon, or be replaced... When you look at Leicester's recruitment compared to ours it's frustrating... Klopps signings at Liverpool have pretty much all worked....

We need to know the style of football Ancelotti wants to play, and buy players that will suit that style....if we don't buy players that will fit into our team, we'll be wasting more money and more time..

It will be interesting to see what he thinks is a priority in the jan window. I’d think if we were going for anyone from Napoli I’d think January is the time as feelings are still raw there amongst the players who liked him.

I genuinely don’t want to see Holgate shoved down the pecking order as I think since he’s been played he’s been our best player over that time period. But I would love that Koulibaly (sp.) - think most clubs in Europe would though.

Add to that some genuine quality in the middle of the park and either a wide forward who bangs them in for fun and is quicker than superman would be what I’d be over the moon with. But I have no idea what formations this man has up his sleeve.

man excited to see how we play against a team who are in the bracket we’ve struggled against for the last... well since BBS (el Fraud) had his second season.

I;d rather swerve people like him and go for the lad at Sheff United.

true. Better value in theory. Though I think sheff Utd would be a tough seller in the jan window given their position and general feeling around that club at the moment.

All I can say is I’m excited about the quality of names who his appointment will open the door with.
