My only concern with Ancelotti is that you can’t polish a turd and I’m convinced most of our squad is one big cumulative turd. We need to bankroll him but not spend it on absolute cack this time. I don’t know whether to be excited or terrified.

I'm in the same boat,most if not all of his sides have had built in quality from the off.In an ideal world I'd have preferred Duncan F to have bullied this shower into a mid-table seasons end then given Ancelotti a full Summer transfer window and pre-season,but then football isn't like that.

It’s not so much about creativity, is the courage to pass forward. Without the fear of losing the ball. Delph is not the answer. Neither is siggy. It’s a mental thing.

mental block I think. Many times siggy and delph receive the ball and lay it back to defenders and they end up taking the responsibility of passing forward. It’s a shame Ancelotti tactics being held back by this. A typical Italian tactic pivot around a deep lying distributor.
