I feel carlo was probably the wrong choice of manager for where we are currently. I can seriously envisage a west ham Pellegrini situation this time next season. The players not matching what the manager is used to which doesn't work.

We should have jumped at the chance of getting moyes when he was available and he would have started building the kind of unit that we had before he left but with more money could have finally kicked everton on to the top 4 and beyond.

Regretfully I see only downhill from here for Everton. Where does usmanov go if it doesn't work with ancelotti? There is no quick fix anymore unless if ffp was gone. Moyes was proven as someone who could construct a competitive unit in the premier league.

Ancelotti is not and not sure its something hes ever done.

Ancelotti keeps talking about how excited he is by the long term project. He also said recently that they decided not to buy in January and to get through to the end of the season before making big changes.

He's not going to jack it in. He hasn't even got started. This is not his team yet. Just wait.

The problem is these are scripted, prepared answers. We don't really know what the truth is. Pay cuts and wage deferrals don't hint at a massive summer spending campaign.

I think he’ll give the board the benefit of the doubt this summer (next few weeks). There’s no way he’s damaging his reputation with this crock of duds we call footballers.

I keep seeing some shouts about him only coming here because the money was good, but hes a millionaire anyways, would have got a big pay out from Napoli and could have easily took some time off with his family and walked into another top club when presented with the job a few months down the line. I genuinely think he is here because he wants to do something special here I just don’t think he envisioned the situation being this bad. He’s probably never seen a less enthusiastic and unambitious team of untalented losers in his whole career.

The problem is his age, he's in his 60's now and has 'been there' and 'done that' as it were.

Ideally he'd be 10-15 years younger (which we can't change lol) so he can stick his teeth into a proper long term project.

He should be given another year though, those calling for his head are stupid. Moshiri already has the reputation of a hirer and firer like some small time, small club owner and we can't change manager after just a few months.

Just seen on BBC his after match replies to tame questions put to him. I do not think he could motivate a mince pie. Very nice likeable man though; maybe, just maybe there is a hidden steel and determination we and the players have yet to witness and the team will come out playing for the shirt from September. Just maybe. Or just maybe he is used to star players doing it all on the pitch and Everton has come as a major shock to him.

I don't think anyone's calling for his head, but he can't be immune from criticism.
