Carlo is hanging the players out to dry and quite rightly. He could have played a formation and style of play to protect them but instead he’s said go out and play football, motivate yourselves, make your own decisions, and they’ve just failed abysmally.

I’d trust Ancelotti more than anyone at Everton to sort this out. He knows it’s not good enough. ‘The players can have more ambition, the club can have more ambition’. He’s firing shots at the lot of them here. It’s been a cosy old boys club for far too long.

Disagree that the players with maybe a couple of exceptions can motivate themselves,most know this is as far as they can go,that they wont earn these wages anywhere else,looking at that squad,there maybe one or two that could play higher up,a couple the likes of Davies and Kenny that smaller clubs might be interested in and could afford the fee and wages,the rest are here for the length of contract,they know that,so they dont care

Seriously. Pickford made a HUGELY risky pass before they scored their 3rd, we don't have anything resembling the players needed to play from the back. I know Carlo has the way he likes to play but, I mean I can't stress this enough, we have nothing resembling the players he has had previously.
