Everyone knows this to be true. It was a Moshiri choice, just as every other managerial choice has been.

We've had clarification over the last 2-3 weeks that Brands is not in sole charge of the football side of the club. Moshiri is picking the succession in terms of manager, and hopefully Ancelotti is now identifying the players he wants and getting them through his own network of agents and contacts.

Brands' status has evaporated over the last 6 months. It's just a complete nonsense not to recognise that.

I said from the off that we are ill-suited to a DoF role, and the events of the last few weeks underline it.

By definition, loan players plug a temporary gap. Even if your opinion of Brands is low, you'd have to think he's pretty stupid to not see that a couple of short term deals for players that Ancelotti will know he can rely on straight away wouldn't be a terrible move

We'll see through loand and deals for fees where the balance of poweer lays. Not with Brands is what I;m guessing. No way is Brands going to make the first move on transfers. Ancelotti will choose any players coming in and Brands will be the glorified scout that Walsh was. And that is the way it should be.

I was very pleased with how we won. We never panicked. It was patient and we didn’t lose our shape. The winner came in a timely an effective manner.

It’s better to turn it on late and grab the winner than to turn it on early and lose the lead. We never compromised. Burnley eventually cracked. Hopefully more to come

Brands was not consulted at all on Ancelotti. In any case, Brands is part of the problem, not the solution.
