Correct. But he is not above criticism. He obviously has made mistakes esp at home, 7 of the last 8 matches lost have been at home. We are not creating enough chances and the intensity is not good enough at home.

I'm not doubting him as such, but I have no understanding as to what that team selection was about and what the plan for the game was tonight.

He's forgot more about football in the last hour than I'll ever know of course, but still... from my limited knowledge of the game, why you'd play Iwobi tonight in a must win game and why you'd persist with something that isn't working and largely hasn't worked for months now is beyond my comprehension.

That diamond doesn’t suit us all with the lack of pace we have in midfield.

I’d just go back to the four centre backs across the back - stick digne in front of Godfrey and play allan/Davies and James or gylfi with richarlison on the right and DCL up top for rest of season.

Think the way we win games this season is looking solid at the back, having loads of centre backs playing to offer us attacking options from set pieces and keeping solid.

The so called creative players like Iwobi/Gomes don’t have enough impact to justify their places.

Yeah it's that part I don't get. Was he just trying to be smart because of Iwobi's comments on Instagram or something?

On form, Iwobi should not have played. It's either Sigurdsson, or switch system and accommodate players most likely to get a result.

Iwobi is not and never has been a player most likely to get you a result - with his recent form and stupid comments he shouldn't have been near the teamsheet, and that performance proved it.
