It isn't great but surely it is still streets ahead of the villa side we played over the last fortnight who had no grealish for the large part of it? Can't we show more intent to win the game rather than to not loose it and hope for some luck?
 
Thought the starting 11 was far too negative and the game played out that way. We are beyond awful to watch.
 

Too conservative - only makes positive changes when we go a goal down.

When it got to 75 minutes that was go for it time - Holgate off and King or Benard on and go 433.

Seemed happy with the point in the hope that Spurs or West Ham slip up more than we will in the remaining 3 games - stupid with Man City away last game which is a write off.

Still happy for him to get next season but he needs to improve just as much as the players.
 
If this was Sam Allardyce playing this football we would be uniformly calling for his head.

I am not saying that is what I want, as it isn't, but he needs to actually do something of note soon. We have been playing awful football all year and whilst we have had injuries, there is enough quality in the team to do better.

Hopefully we can have a good summer, both in the market and on the training ground, and actually have some kind of style or game plan next season.

Weirdly we actually did what we never do and take the game to a team in the second half - we needed to like. We just have no quality/composure/attacking plan, which reflects poorly on the recruitment and coaching.

Better recruitment will make it easier to coach that. We just shouldn't be SO hopeless.

We had King, Bernard and Iwobi on the bench. Yes they're not amazing players but all would offer more from the wide positions than Sigurdsson and Coleman. It's the negativity that frustrates me the most with Carlo, that was 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders out there today in a must-win game for our European ambitions.
 
62 points it's probably the total we'll finish with.

If so....Highest points total since 13/14. 1 more than Ronk who finished 7th.
 
We had the best chances in that game, how’s that Carlos fault if once the team goes into the pitch, they don’t put the chances away?! The better side overall, just needed a bit of luck in front of goal!
We’ve still got a squad that he’s had 1 realistic transfer window to work with. A squad based on 3/4 different managers signings. Fans wanting a quick fix, when they’ve been moaning about this players for the past 3 seasons, all of sudden expect carlo to work miracles.
