2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

Can’t see it happening.

He’s on the pig’s back here with wages of over 10 mill per year. Madrid would have for fork out 30 mill compo, which ain’t likely given their financial dire straits.

In the unlikely event that it does happen I don’t think it would be a major loss as he doesn’t look the manager of old. The play is generally dire and he doesn’t seem to inspire. Much like Mourinho he looks ready for the knacker’s yard.
lol He might be signing for real Madrid. If that isn't proof that some fans have no idea about football.

He’s part of the reason that we have been so cack. He’s way too relaxed, he wants to be everyone‘a best mate, he plays a flat back six. We can get a better manager than could achieve better than 10th place.

We won't cos it's pressing the reset button again. Another 12 months of "bedding" as the likes of Iwobi etc get another chance to "learn" from a new coach

We cannot achieve anything with this squad. Nothing.

You can bring back Kendell in his pomp or roll SAF out of retirement....they would not get this team performing any better.

"But they could get us playing better football". Knocking the ball in triangles and getting leathered every week is not good football. Cos that's what will happen

born not manufactured, yeah born into 20 years of GODDAMN PAIN AND TORTURE.

Thankfully for you its only 20 years, for others it is alot longer!!!

He may not even go yet, I`ve seen some posters on here blaming fans for driving him away. How can that be? 1 - Fans have not been in the stadiums & 2 - He wont be reading GOT or any other Everton forum.

AND he will probably be unemployed in a year if he goes to RM......

I'm often bemused by everton fan opinions, but the fact some people aren't concerned about us losing Carlo flipping Ancelotti is on a whole other level.

I think this will be the most gutted I've been since Arteta left. And that was because I was still at school, had gone to bed early, woke up for the first day back after summer holidays, and was not ready to hear we had sold him at 5 to 12!

If this happens then we are staring at a disaster in the face. No manager, an inept DOF, a woefully inadequate squad, a ton of uncertainty, and the club's wider standing in an extremely bad place.
Here's why I'm not worried:

During his time at the club, Ancelotti has not achieved anything extraordinary. We have achieved very mediocre results, and have played the world's most boring football. By boring I mean preferably that we have been a team that has neither shown aggression nor any passion. There are quite a few other managers, who are completely average, who could have achieved the same.

Well, 1 in 5 is 20%

How much lower are we talking?

I'd say if there was a poll last month on whether to sack him - 15%-25% would have said sack.

There was a poll someone started on here, an open poll with results viewable - that had 85.7% voting to keep him.

In our annual fan survey, with results out today - he had an 80.6% approval rating.

We can't escape the fact there's a significant amount who want him gone - absolutely remarkable.
I'm not sure it's absolutely remarkable. If you just look at how we've played since he came, and ignore his past success, you would want him gone. We were one of the worst teams to watch this season. The main reason I want him to stay is because of the players he can attract, rather than the great coaching job he's done with the team, because he hasn't done a great coaching job.

I think we're talking 1 in 10 at most, but that's just my interpretation of the results. Not an exact science at all!

I just don't automatically equate someone saying the manager's performance in unsatisfactory with them wanting a new manager.
