2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

Southampton have been beaten by Crystal Palace and got royally stuffed by Spurs at home. They’re a run of the mill Premier League side.

I didn’t have long to wait for a poor run of form, did I?

Fact is, his tactics have been well below what is expected over the past 4 games.

We know what he can deliver, he has been backed in the transfer market, go out and meet the club’s expectations.

He doesn’t get a free ride because he’s Carlo Ancelotti.

and he shouldn’t get abuse after 7 GAMES

We have had 3 poor results.

Yet still sit in 7th place .
3 points off a Champions lge place.
Quarter final of the Carabao cup.

But of course you have already made your mind up .
On the flip side we are 3 points off 15th place.

I don’t want him sacked, far from it, but the man is not beyond criticism and he must meet the expectations we have as a club.

A break from football might do you good at this point, in all seriousness. It is not healthy to live with the mentality you have.
I don’t think ‘having a break’ is possible for a proper supporter. Not like a Kopite who can switch it on and off depending on how the team is performing.

Also, I’d say the majority of match-going Evertonians have the mindset of expecting the worst.

Obviously nobody (for the most part) is calling for his head. Carlo gets a pass from me (for now) for this debacle of form as he was still looking for a way to cope without Richarlison. Clean slate.

But from this point on, I’m not going to ignore his failure to adapt under similar circumstances. He needs to find a way to thrive in the harsh periods too. If he/we make these excuses every time this happens, we will end up mid table every time. It’s up to him to find some consistency. Injuries/suspensions happen. Godspeed Magnifico

Yes it is possible. Football is not as important as your mental health.

I suggest you check again Carlo won the CL in 13/14 we are now in season 20/21.

In 16/17 may have won the League, but they did so with 82 points compared to 88 the season before he arrived. The following season he was sacked because Bayern were going backwards.

At Napoli he took over from Sarri whose Napoli achieved 91 points. Carlo got only 79 points in his first season and was on course for 46 points when he was sacked after 15 games. Again he took them backwards.

Usually managers take over clubs in the doldrums, Carlo took over Bayern after Pep moved on and Napoli after Sarri moved on. Both teams were excellent when he arrived but declined under Carlo. If you have an excellent squad and are already winning or challenging then Carlo is a pretty safe pair of hands. What he doesn't do is build clubs and improve them. That is what we need at the moment.

He is a gentleman and very popular with players, but he isn't what Everton require at the moment.

So because he won the league with 6 points less than the previous Munich manager that doesn't count?

And because he came runners up with less points than Sarri the season before that doesn't count?

I think that shows the level of your footballing education and I absolutely love the bit where he was on course for 46 points after he got sacked after 15 games lol

CV gets you the job, but performance keeps you the job.

baring any total meltdown, its much too early by 3 windows / 15months or so for any Taxi ! shouts...not to mention there's a dozen or more players who shouldn't even be here.

One game at a time - review in May, not every Monday.

Can't believe what I'm reading at times in this thread. The Don needs time. Gylfi needs to gtfoh pronto, when he plays, we play poorly, I can't bare watching him.
Yet he chooses him. And makes him captain.

You really can't have it both ways. Either Gylfi is a liability and shouldn't be anywhere near the team and Carlo is wrong or Gylfi isn't anywhere near as bad as everyone's eyes(and even the stats) can see.

Not really, it is what it is, we only have options as bad as Gylfi, I like Andre but he's not playing well last few games, TD isn't really much better although he's more energetic, Delph is unreliable and Gbamin is injured. So the options aren't great to be fair.
