He was generally covering the left winger
Like Southampton that side was targeted time and time again
So he wasn’t playing full back then was he.
Not long now John.

We could do with a Gueye/Kante style DM who has a serious engine. Also, a top RB. Just think there is a lack of composure in our defence when the game isn’t going our way.Its baffling how poor we are at the back considering he's an Italian manager.
He desperately needs another defensive midfielder coming in the door in January or Gbamin to hit the ground running and stay fit once he returns as you cant play a 2 in midfield and persist with James in the team we are left too exposed.
You do realise dcl alone has scored as much goals as city this season?People don't think we should question why we sat back against one of the worst teams in the league while 3-1 up, Liverpool or City would have put 5 or 6 past them, Apparently we want Big Sam if we question why we sat back though.
How we respond next week is absolutely key. Mad to be talking about “responding” after we’ve actually just won, but the game today definitely raised more questions than answers. We got the result today, but the performance absolutely must improve.
Yes we sat back with the leagues top scorer, Sounds even worse. You do realise dcl alone has scored as much goals as city this season?
He should have had Davies on as soon as they made their substitutes to help Allen to block out Loftus who dominated the midfield.....,that statement is baffling. We were getting over run in midfield so he plugged it completely
For me it's simple..How we respond next week is absolutely key. Mad to be talking about “responding” after we’ve actually just won, but the game today definitely raised more questions than answers. We got the result today, but the performance absolutely must improve.
If we beat Leeds at home next week it’s been a good start all things considering. So far it’s been 9 games, 5 of them away with 4 at home, of the 4 home games two of them have been to top 6 opposition. So of the 9 only two have been against bottom 13 opposition at home (the games easiest to win). Some teams will have played 4 or 5 games of their 9 at home to bottom 13 teams and will have had far greater opportunity to get points than us. I’m not sure Carlo has had the credit for the wins at Spurs, Palace, and Fulham he deserves.
He smells a bit doesn`t he
he’s not the only one. It’s always the same old boring posters trying to beat Carlo with a stick
it’s like they want FS back - astounding
Atleast Fat Sam could organise a defence...
