Every single Evertonian would have been disappointed with our current position this time last year when Carlo came in, especially if you’d said that we’d bought a whole new CM, kept Richarlison, signed James and had the in-form PL striker up front for us.
To suggest otherwise is pretty ridiculous.
Nobody was realistically expecting a title challenge but to still not have a defined style of play, look the most unfit team in the league and failure to beat relegation fodder... Come on lads.
The one positive so far in terms of on-pitch progress is the development of DCL.

I think what Carlo will always be fighting against is our fanbase is so toxic and negative that you can't win for winning.
We are turning on players who have JUST signed and we are so short sighted that we can't see the small changes we have gone through.
We need to be realistic but also supportive. I think we can win every game but only if we do our job but that's the beauty of football because all it takes is one mistake or one stroke of luck.
Carlo is experiencing with his squad because he doesn't have world class players in every position so why can't he decided that a player he sees and trains every day can do this role.
If starting the Moshiri era, we got Ancelotti and gave him £300m, we would be in a totally different but the position we are in, we have the finest manager we have EVER had so let's get behind what he wants to do, WIN.

Therein lies the problem though, Bielsa could do that all day to Gylfi and Tosun but come matchday they don’t run any faster. The problem lies with the idiots who wasted 75 million pounds of our money on two blokes who can’t run.

We’re not even sniffing relegation this season no matter how bad it gets so Ancelotti effectively has a blank cheque from the board. They’ve backed all their managers until it’s looked like relegation was becoming a possibility which it did for Koeman and Silva. Some people are acting as though a mid table finish sees Carlo out. Utter nonsense, he can finish anywhere this season and the board won’t touch him because they know there is no one more qualified to turn around this absolute shambles of a club than him. This is their best bet, if he can’t fix it we really are in deep trouble, as if they’re going to get rid of him after not even a full season in post, utterly laughable.
Moshiri has his man now and will back him to turn us around. It might have to get worse before it gets better but this is Carlo’s game now. Stand back boys and let him attract world class talent whilst some of you moan about how we should have gone for Graham Potter Eddie Howe or Nuno over Carlo Ancelotti.
